FORMULA 1 BRITISH GRAND PRIX 2022

Silverstone

United Kingdom

The Circuit

Lewis Hamilton compared a flat-out lap at Silverstone to piloting a fighter aircraft during the 2018 British Grand Prix, which should tell you everything you need to know about the Northamptonshire track. Despite numerous layout changes over the years, Silverstone has always maintained its essential character as one of the fastest tracks on the Formula One calendar, with historic corners such as Maggotts, Becketts, and Abbey posing some of the most difficult challenges for racing drivers anywhere on the planet.

Best Place to Watch the Grand Prix

The Becketts grandstand has to be towards the top of any list of the best places to view an F1 vehicle in action — believe us when we say your eyes will be on stalks as you watch the racers whiz past Maggotts and Becketts. The Stowe grandstands, located farther down the track, will put you in one of the greatest overtaking places, although watching the drivers throw their vehicles into that turn on their own is nearly as entertaining.

Why go?

It's difficult to keep the goose bumps from prickling as you stroll through one of motorsport's great cathedrals, and the British supporters are always loud - after all, this is the country that developed football (that's soccer, mind you).
