Mustafa started his career with the then East African Airways as Airport Traffic Agent before joining PIA and Egyptair.
He later on started his own travel enterprise which today operates in Dar es Salaam, Kampala and Nairobi.
Mustafa was the founding member of Travel agents umbrella body - TASOTA. In April 2018, Mustafa published his autobiography “The Songea Boy Journey” which was launched by HE Ali Hassan Mwinyi-former President of United Republic of Tanzania
